Minimum Requirements for Hardware Refresh Deployment

Are there any restriction applied to restrict Outbound Traffic on the edge Firewall? If so , will someone be available to provide access to the Firewall or open Ports 80/443, 1194, 5120-5129 (Tcp/Udp) outbound for updates and management?

Is there at least 2U (3.5 inches in height) space available in the Server Rack? If not, where should the unit be placed?

Frequently Asked Questions / Scenarios

There is no space in the Rack to install new backup unit.

The onsite tech will remove the old Backup unit and place on available media such as a box, table and will install the new Unit in the Rack.

The onsite technician has called in sick.

There is no guarantee that another technician will be available at the scheduled deployment time. Deployment may be rescheduled for another day.

Site is not ready or accessible.

The deployment will be rescheduled.

There is no Port available on the Network Switch.

The onsite tech will remove the old Backup unit from the Network Switch and plug the new Unit to that port. The tech will then return to wipe the old unit.

There is no access to the Firewall (where required) to allow outbound ports.

Hardware installation will take place at the scheduled deployment time. Further configuration will be rescheduled and conducted remotely once required firewall changes have been implemented.

There is no Power socket available in the UPS.

The onsite tech will remove the old Backup unit from the power socket and plug the new Unit. The tech will then return to wipe the old unit.

Equipment did not arrive on-site, is incorrect model, is defective or has been delayed for unknown reasons.

The deployment will be rescheduled.
